If you have any requests do not hesitate to contact the accessibility chair, the earlier the better.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also possible to contact the Diversity and Inclusion chairs under <a href=\"mailto:accessibilitydiversity@tei.acm.org\">diversity@tei.acm.org<\/a>. Please also refer to the Diversity and Inclusion Webpage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the registration process, you will be asked to indicate any accessibility needs. Based on your request, the&nbsp; Accessibility Chair will contact you to better understand your needs and propose possible solutions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I attend the conference remotely?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. The conference will be a fully virtual online conference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What tools will be used for presentation and communication <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li> Discord (Communication) &#8211; <a href=\" https:\/\/www.starshipchangeling.net\/discord\/\"> Guide to Discord for Screen Reader Users <\/a>\n<\/li>\n<li> YouTube (Presentation) <a href=\"https:\/\/its.umich.edu\/communication\/collaboration\/google\/accessibility\/youtube\"> YouTube Accessibility Guide<\/a><\/li>\n<li> Zoom (Q&amp;A). <a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/accessibility\/faq\"> Zoom &#8211; Accessibility FAQ <\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any further questions or encounter difficulties with any of the tools do not hesitate to contact the accessibility chair &#8211; <a href=\"mailto:accessibilitydiversity@tei.acm.org\">accessibility@tei.acm.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are the arrangements for presenters with accessibility needs?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We aim to ensure an accessible TEI2021 conference for all presenters. Please have a look at the <a href=\"https:\/\/tei.acm.org\/2021\/attend\/information-for-presenters\/\">information for presenters<\/a>. More information and FAQ regarding the accessibility of the used tools (Zoom, Discord and YouTube) are provided in the tools section above. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have questions or additional requests please contact our accessibility chair &#8211; <a href=\"mailto:accessibilitydiversity@tei.acm.org\">accessibility@tei.acm.org<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Will subtitles or sign language interpretation be available?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Subtitles for the YouTube Videos (through SRT files) and for the Zoom chat (through otter.ai) will be provided. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you require sign language interpretation please make your request as early as possible by email: accessibility@tei.acm.org. We will contact you to discuss your needs in more detail. The best effort will be made to accommodate requests, but we cannot guarantee that interpreters will be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can a volunteer assist me during the conference?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. There will be online volunteers available to personally assist conference participants with accessibility needs. If you will need a designated student volunteer assistance at the conference, please indicate this during the online registration process and \/ or get in contact with the Accessibility chair &#8211; <a href=\"mailto:accessibilitydiversity@tei.acm.org\">accessibility@tei.acm.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the conference venue like?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, it is mostly virtual, thus all activities &#8211; except for the arts track &#8211; will be online.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The arts track will take place at <a href=\"https:\/\/5020.info\/\">5020<\/a> [f\u00fcnfzigzwanzig] {fiftytwenty} is a non commercial and non profit contemporary artspace situated in the citycentre of Salzburg, Austria. The venue is accessible by a (transportation) lift. An accessible restroom is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What if &#8230;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If there are other specific accessibility questions you would like to have answered or if you wish to discuss any conference accessibility requirements, please contact the accessibility\u00a0chair accessibility@tei.acm.org. He will respond to your question as soon as possible. More information and a non generic eMail address is provided below:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accessibility Chair<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Georg Regal (he\/him)<strong> <\/strong>is a scientist at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology. At AIT he is responsible for the design and development of interaction prototypes. His research is focused on human augmentation, especially virtual reality and interfaces for people with disabilities.
