Student Design Challenge

Jesus Shoes
Hyeonjin Kim, Kunstuniversität Linz, Austria
Time: Wed 18:30 - 12:00 | Session: Student Design Challenge | Location: Große Aula

Jesus Shoes is an amusing pair of shoes to be able to experience the miracle of Jesus walking on the water, which is one of Jesus’ miracles in the Gospels. Based on this episode, the shoes came out to allow people to adopt a playful attitude while having an experience that mimics the phenomenon. Depending on specific behaviors, like standing tiptoe or walking, the result of different sounds and different images is changed for quick recognition. This work is a wearable computing which can make the user experience more enjoyable. As visitors experience Jesus shoes, they feel like walking on water and mud with simple physical interaction.
