Details of getting to and from conference venues are available on the main TEI website.
What is the conference space like?
TEI 2024 will be held across three venues: the Clayton Hotel, Cork City, MTU Cork School of Music and Páirc Uí Chaoimh. All buildings are wheelchair accessible and come with a lift. There will be some travel between venues. The Clayton Hotel and MTU Cork School of Music are 400 metres apart, whilst Páirc Uí Chaoimh is a 15 minute walk away or a short taxi drive. There will be a quiet room at the main Conference venue as well as a room for nursing.
Will the conference be accessible by wheelchair?
Yes, the conference will be accessible to wheelchair users, and there are lifts in each building. We have a ramp on to every stage for presenters who use wheelchairs. Poster sessions will have space for a wheelchair to move between the posters.
In case of an emergency and call for evacuation, designated student volunteers will assist and orient people with disabilities (e.g., blind and visually impaired attendees, people with hearing impairments) to safety.
What restroom facilities are available?
There are accessible toilets and gender neutral toilets available at each venue.
Can I bring my guide dog?
Yes, service animals are permitted within each of the buildings. We remind all attendees that guide dogs are working animals, and ask that they refrain from petting, distracting, or otherwise preventing them from doing their job. We would ask that assistance dogs are clearly identifiable.

This can be arranged if requested during the registration process.
Will the conference be smoke-free?
Smoking is prohibited in all internal areas of the venues. Smokers may use the designated outdoor smoking areas which are clearly indicated.
