Directions: From Cork City Centre, the MTU Bishopstown Campus can be reached by bus routes 205 and 220.
The Graduate Student Consortium will take place in the Hub building, on the University College Cork Main Campus.

The Conference Banquet will take place at the Páirc Uí Chaoimh Stadium Conference and Events Centre, The Marina, T12 PF30

The banquet venue can be reached via a 35 mins walk from the conference hotel, or by public transport via the 212 bus route (stopping by the entrance to Páirc Uí Chaoimh), or the 202/202A bus route (stopping a 5 mins walk away from Páirc Uí Chaoimh). Buses on both routes can be boarded at stops near the Clayton Hotel. Student Volunteers will be available to guide groups of delegates on the evening of the banquet
Travelling to Cork
By Air
Regarded as the international gateway to the South of Ireland, Cork Airport is the country’s second busiest international airport with connectivity to over 50 direct routes. Cork Airport also has connections to hubs such as Amsterdam Schiphol and London Heathrow.
Cork Airport is well connected to the city centre with a good road network and regular bus and taxi services available outside the airport terminal building.
If you are flying into Dublin Airport, you can get from Dublin Airport to Cork City directly in just under 3 and a half hours via the M8 motorway, either by car or Aircoach.
Alternatively, from Dublin Airport you can reach Dublin Heuston Station and take a direct train to Cork Kent Station.
Shannon International Airport is located approximately 25km from Limerick City (100km from Cork). There are coach and train connections between Limerick City and Cork.
By Rail
Cork City’s Train Station (Kent Station) is a mere 5-minute walk from the city centre. Operating since 1893, Kent Station in Cork City operates as a hub for intercity services to Dublin, Limerick, Waterford and Tralee. A typical train journey from Cork to Dublin’s Heuston Station can take as little as 2hrs 15mins – depending on the time of travel.

By Ferry
Cork Ferry Port is located in Ringaskiddy, 20km from Cork City. It offers passenger ferry routes to Roscoff (France) and Santander (Spain). A regular bus service connects the ferry port to Cork City Centre.
Other passenger ferry routes (including those from/to the UK) arrive into Dublin Port and Rosslare Europort.
Getting Around in Cork
Cork City Centre is compact and walkable. It is also served by several bus routes.
Rental Bikes also operate in and around Cork City centre and are a very efficient means of getting around.
Taxis are widely available in Cork city centre, either from designated taxi ranks or through pre-booking using apps such as FreeNow.
