Hybrid Experiences
Overview
TEI 2026 provides hybrid participation options through three platforms: YouTube (unlisted streaming), Zoom (live interaction), and Discord (asynchronous Q&A).
Main Conference Tracks
Oral Presentations, Keynotes & Lightning Talks
- Remote audiences watch a live YouTube stream and submit questions via Discord
- Remote presenters submit pre-recorded videos and participate in live Q&A through Zoom
- Sessions are archived for registered participants only
Demo and Art & Performance Reception
- Live Zoom streaming with student volunteer camera guidance
- Remote exhibit presentations are not supported
- Sessions are not archived
Poster Sessions and Student Design Competition
- Remote attendees join Zoom breakout rooms to either follow a student volunteer-guided tour of in-person presenters or to directly connect to remote presenters
- Remote presenters must be available on Zoom during assigned times
- Laptops will display Zoom connection details at each poster
- In-person attendees interact with remote presenters via laptop
- Sessions are not archived
Studios
- No remote participation available
Graduate Student Consortium (GSC)
- Full-day hybrid Zoom meeting on March 8th
- Limited to GSC students and mentors only
- Participants receive detailed instructions from GSC chairs
